Both of these can be the right answer. Here’s the split.
Fleet Finesse is the floor Rentavoq has to beat, not a strawman — our founder pays for it and has used every screen. It ships real inspections and a real storefront at $67–$147 flat. What it never does is enforce anything: verification is optional, damage is a manual charge field, and there is no GPS at all. Rentavoq’s case is enforcement, claims, telematics, and reliability — not a cheaper sticker.
- You want the lowest flat price for a workable manual rental OS — $67–$147/mo
- Weekly-extension billing for gig drivers is your core model and you need it today
- Manual inspections with a damage diagram are enough protection for your fleet
- You do not need GPS, enforced verification, or a claims workflow
- You want checks that block the handoff when they fail, not checks that can be skipped
- You want damage to become a documented claim with deposit capture — not a charge field
- You want live GPS and mileage flowing in from a Bouncie device, not typed by hand
- You want unmetered renter messaging and a trial that does not ask for a card
Disclosure: we build Rentavoq. Verify every claim on this page yourself — both directions.
Ten dimensions, no scorecard games
Rentavoq’s column is identical on every comparison page, so it can’t bend to flatter us. Fleet Finesse’s column comes from public pages, verified reviews, and our research.
| Dimension | Rentavoq | Fleet Finesse |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | Flat monthly: Growth $99 (up to 15 cars), Pro $249 (up to 40), Scale $499 (up to 100). No per-vehicle, per-branch, or per-booking fees. Stripe pass-through payment pricing. | Flat, not per-vehicle: Standard $67/mo and Premium $102/mo on annual billing ($97/$147 month-to-month). Unlimited cars and customers. |
| Setup fee | $0. Self-serve setup; 14-day free trial of the full platform, no card. | $0 setup — but the 7-day trial requires a credit card. |
| Verification gating | Enforced. Five checks — insurance verified, identity verified (document authenticity + selfie match), contract signed, deposit held, inspection done — must pass before the key is released. No staff override. | Stripe Identity and Canopy insurance verification are wired in but ship off. Nothing gates the key handoff on ID, insurance, deposit, or inspection. |
| Deposit holds | Holds placed before the key moves, tracked through the trip, re-authorized nightly, and released when the return inspection is done — not on a timer. | Payments via Stripe Connect with 40+ payment methods; deposits are not tied to a release gate or inspection. |
| Claims | One workflow: timestamped photos, the signed contract, deposit capture, and an append-only audit trail. | None. Damage is a manual charge field plus a diagram — no claim case, evidence bundle, or deposit-dispute workflow. |
| Telematics | Bouncie integration — you buy the device at a Rentavoq discount; live GPS and mileage flow into the app with no per-vehicle software fee from us. | None anywhere. Odometer and fuel are manual entry. |
| Storefront & white-label | White-label booking website included in every plan — your brand, your domain. | Real per-tenant storefront with custom domain and SSL — genuinely good. |
| Mobile operations | Built phone-first: quote, sign, inspect, take payment, and release the key from your pocket. | Responsive web app; flows are not deep-linkable and API calls run 2–4 seconds. |
| Contracts & e-sign | Included. The renter signs on their own phone; the signed PDF lands in the evidence trail. | Rental documents live in the renter portal; the e-sign flow was not detailed in our research. |
| Reviews & maturity | New in 2026 — no third-party reviews yet. The founder runs his own 5-car Indiana fleet on it every day. | Claims 500+ businesses; no G2, Capterra, or Trustpilot presence. Testimonials on-site are generic stock. |

- Full manual pick-up/return inspections: 7-item checklist, click-to-mark damage diagram, photo upload, auto-calculated mileage and fuel overages
- Weekly-extension billing live in production — the gig-fleet rental model
- Renter self-service portal: pay balances, request extensions, add protection, download documents
- Per-vehicle P&L ledger, mid-rental vehicle swaps, four rate types, mileage caps
- Real integrations wired up: Stripe Connect + Identity, Canopy Connect insurance, tolls, multi-branch, and a per-tenant storefront with custom domain + SSL
- No telematics or GPS anywhere — odometer and fuel are typed in by hand
- No claims lifecycle: damage is a manual charge field and a diagram, with no claim case, evidence bundle, or dispute workflow
- Verification ships off — Canopy and Stripe Identity are wired in but optional, and nothing gates the key handoff
- Reliability debt: reproduced page 404s, 2–4 second API calls, flows that cannot be deep-linked
- Metered communications: 50 emails per day, SMS as a $5/mo add-on
- No G2, Capterra, or Trustpilot footprint; the homepage money-back badge conflicts with a binding no-refund policy
Wired in is not the same as enforced
Here is the strangest thing our founder found paying for Fleet Finesse: the good parts are already wired in. Stripe Identity for ID checks. Canopy Connect for insurance. They exist — switched off by default, optional when on.
At no point does Fleet Finesse stop a handoff because a check failed. The renter with the screenshot insurance card gets the same keys as the renter with a live policy. Rentavoq treats that as the whole problem: five checks, one gate, and a release screen that stays locked until every one passes.
One more honesty note, because it matters when you are trusting a vendor with your revenue: Fleet Finesse’s homepage shows a 100% money-back badge, while its binding policy says fees are non-refundable. Read both before you buy — from them or from anyone, including us.
Where damage money goes to die
Fleet Finesse’s inspection tooling is real: a checklist, a click-to-mark diagram, photo upload, pickup-versus-return comparison. Then it stops. Damage becomes a number you type into a charge field and hope survives the dispute.
Rentavoq carries the same moment forward: timestamped photos, the signed contract, the deposit that was held before the key ever moved, and a deposit capture with an append-only audit trail behind it. When the renter disputes the charge, you answer with evidence, not with a diagram and a memory.
The parts you feel every day: GPS, speed, metering
There is no GPS in Fleet Finesse. Not weak GPS — none. Mileage and fuel are typed in by hand, which means your overage billing is only as good as your data entry. Rentavoq reads both from the Bouncie device on the OBD port, along with a live map of every car.
Day-to-day friction adds up too. In authenticated use we hit reproduced 404s, 2–4 second API calls, and flows you cannot link a teammate into. Email is capped at 50 a day and SMS costs extra. Rentavoq includes lifecycle messaging without meters, and treats sub-second screens as table stakes, not a roadmap item.
What Fleet Finesse does well
Fleet Finesse ships a competent manual rental OS at a price that is hard to argue with: $67–$147 a month, flat, unlimited cars. Its inspections are real, its weekly-extension billing serves gig fleets today, its renter portal is genuinely useful, and its storefront supports custom domains with SSL. That is a working business tool, not vaporware.
If your risk tolerance is high, your fleet is cheap, and every dollar of software spend hurts, it may be all you need. Rentavoq costs more because it does more of the part that protects you — enforcement, claims, telematics — and we would rather you pick on that axis with clear eyes.
