Rentavoq acceptable use policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of the Rentavoq platform, websites, applications, storefronts, and services (the "Platform") provided by Rentavoq [final legal entity name to be confirmed] ("Rentavoq"). It applies to operator customers ("Operators"), their users and personnel, and any end users who access the Platform, including renters via storefronts. This AUP is incorporated into the Terms of Service and the Operator Subscription Agreement. Capitalized terms have the meaning given there.
Violation of this AUP is a material breach and may result in suspension or termination.
1. General principles
You must use the Platform lawfully, honestly, and in a manner that does not harm Rentavoq, other customers, renters, or third parties, and consistent with all applicable laws and third-party terms.
2. Prohibited activities — legal and regulatory
You may not use the Platform to:
2.1 Violate any applicable law or regulation, including motor-vehicle-rental, peer-to-peer vehicle-sharing, consumer-protection, advertising, lending, insurance, tax, privacy, telemarketing (TCPA), anti-spam (CAN-SPAM), or export laws.
2.2 Operate a rental business without required licenses, registrations, permits, or insurance.
2.3 Engage in fraud, deception, money laundering, or facilitation of prohibited or sanctioned transactions.
2.4 Discriminate against renters or applicants in violation of anti-discrimination or public-accommodation laws.
2.5 Misrepresent pricing, fees, deposits, tolls, citations, insurance, or vehicle condition to renters.
3. Prohibited activities — data, privacy, and consent
You may not:
3.1 Collect, use, or disclose renter or driver personal information without required notices and consents, including for biometric verification and GPS/telematics tracking.
3.2 Use identity, license, insurance, biometric, or location data for any purpose other than legitimate rental operations, or in violation of applicable biometric- or location-privacy laws.
3.3 Upload or process personal data you are not authorized to process, or special categories of data outside the Platform's intended use.
3.4 Use telematics or messaging features to unlawfully surveil, harass, or stalk any individual.
3.5 Sell, rent, or share renter data in violation of the Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Addendum, or law.
4. Prohibited activities — messaging (SMS and email)
You may not:
4.1 Send messages via SMS or email without the recipient's legally required consent, or after opt-out.
4.2 Send spam, deceptive, or unsolicited bulk communications, or spoof sender identity.
4.3 Omit required opt-out mechanisms, sender identification, or disclosures.
4.4 Use messaging for content prohibited by carrier or provider policies (for example illegal goods, high-risk financial content, or otherwise restricted categories).
5. Prohibited activities — payments
You may not:
5.1 Use Stripe or payment features in violation of Stripe's terms, card-network rules, or applicable law.
5.2 Process fraudulent transactions, launder funds, evade chargeback controls, or misuse deposits and holds.
5.3 Misrepresent the nature of a transaction or use the Platform for prohibited business categories.
6. Prohibited activities — content and conduct
You may not upload, post, or transmit content that:
6.1 Is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or violates third-party rights (including IP, privacy, or publicity).
6.2 Contains malware, or is designed to disrupt or compromise the Platform or others' systems.
6.3 Impersonates any person or entity or misrepresents affiliation.
6.4 Harasses, threatens, or exploits any person, including minors.
7. Prohibited activities — security and integrity
You may not:
7.1 Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other tenants' data, or related systems, or circumvent authentication, tenancy isolation, or access controls.
7.2 Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without Rentavoq's prior written authorization; conduct penetration testing only under an authorized program.
7.3 Interfere with or disrupt the Platform (for example denial-of-service attacks, excessive load, or automated scraping) beyond documented API limits.
7.4 Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the Platform except as permitted by law.
7.5 Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Platform to third parties except as expressly permitted (for example authorized renter storefront use).
8. Prohibited activities — AI and automated features
You may not:
8.1 Misuse AI Damage Intelligence or other AI features to fabricate damage, deceive renters or insurers, or assert unsupported charges or claims.
8.2 Represent AI outputs as guaranteed, expert, legal, or insurance determinations.
8.3 Use the Platform to train competing models or extract data at scale without authorization.
9. Third-party platform verticals
For gig/rideshare and Turo-listed vehicles, you may not use the Platform in a manner that violates the terms or policies of those third-party platforms, or misrepresents vehicle eligibility or listing status.
10. Reporting violations
Report suspected violations, abuse, or security issues to abuse@rentavoq.com or security@rentavoq.com [contact addresses to be confirmed].
11. Enforcement
11.1 Rentavoq may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement.
11.2 Rentavoq may remove or disable content, and suspend or terminate access, for violations, with or without notice depending on severity and legal or security risk.
11.3 Rentavoq is not obligated to monitor use but reserves the right to do so as permitted by law.
12. Changes
Rentavoq may update this AUP; material changes will be notified and effective on the stated date or upon continued use.
